AstrixLabs is a one-person studio, so when you write in, you're talking to the person who built the app. Try the quick fixes below first — they solve most issues.
Meal Reminder & Alarm — alarm not ringing?
- Allow notifications — open your phone's Settings → Apps → Meal Reminder & Alarm, and make sure notifications are turned on.
- Allow exact alarms — in the same app settings, find "Alarms & reminders" and allow it. Without this, Android won't let the app ring at the precise minute.
- Turn off battery optimization for the app — some phones aggressively silence background apps. In Settings → Apps → Meal Reminder & Alarm → Battery, set it to "Unrestricted" so alarms always fire.
- Check Do Not Disturb — if your phone is on silent or DND, make sure alarms are set as an exception, or the reminder won't get through.
Horror Stories — something not working?
- Update the app — open Google Play, search for Horror Stories: Scary Tales, and install any pending update.
- Restart the app — close it fully (swipe it away from recent apps) and open it again.
- Narration trouble? — check your phone's volume and that a text-to-speech engine is installed (most Android phones have Google's built in).

Write to us with your phone model, Android version, and what happened — the more detail, the faster we can fix it. One honest note: both apps store everything on your device, so reinstalling wipes your local data (meal logs, reading progress). Try everything else first.
